With a background in urban planning, Xia (Summer) spent a decade as an editor and editorial director for a Chinese architectural journal. Her passion for photography and architecture ultimately led her into the world of architectural photography.

In 2018, she founded Dingxia Photography, specializing in capturing cities, architecture, and interiors. Her work has earned recognition in both local and international photography competitions, and her photographs have been showcased in exhibitions worldwide.

Through her lens, Summer helps clients document their projects, build professional networks, and share their stories across various platforms. Her photography ranges from sweeping wide-angle shots that convey the overall atmosphere of a space to intimate close-ups that highlight intricate details and structural elements.

When she’s not behind the camera, Summer enjoys spending time with her beloved dogs, Aden and Duoduo.

丁夏毕业于深圳大学建筑与城市规划学院，主修城市规划，毕业后进入清华大学《住区》杂志（主编：庄惟敏院士），从事了10年建筑专业期刊和书籍的出版编辑工作，离职前任杂志的编辑部主任。出于对摄影和建筑的热情，于2018年成立“丁夏摄影工作室”，开始了职业建筑摄影师生涯。主要从事城市、建筑和室内摄影。短短几年内，她已经获得了多个国际摄影比赛的奖项，作品也分别在亚洲、欧洲和北美多次展出。
